What has your career path been so far?
I started working at A&F Co. right out of college in 2020 in our Leadership Development Program. My first role was as a Merchant on the Gilly Hicks team where I covered Intimates, Sleep, Lounge & Accessories – I learned so much getting to work across multiple departments! After two years in this role, my dream job opened up on the Abercrombie Women’s team as a Buyer for the EMEA region and I relocated to our London office in early 2023.
What does success look like in your job?
A successful Buyer is equal parts creative and analytical, can balance historical sales with the anticipation of future trends, and always has one ear to the ground for what our customers are saying and what’s next! In the EMEA role specifically, it’s also incredibly important to know our regional customer in and out and be able to translate these nuances to our global assortment.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Two things really motivate me to get out of bed in the morning – the first is new opportunities, which is part of the reason I love working in the EMEA office so much. The region is in such a period of change and growth, which has brought exciting new challenges, new learning opportunities, new team members and even a fancy new office (which is a great perk). The second is the people. I’m very lucky to work with not only the smartest, most hard-working team but also the funniest, kindest and most-supportive group of people.
What excites you about the future at A&F Co.?
I’m most excited about the change and growth opportunities in our international businesses! Our team size here in the EMEA office has more than doubled since I moved over just a year ago and it’s exciting to think we’re just getting started.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
I love to spend my weekends exploring different neighborhoods of London or traveling to new places. I am fully taking advantage of European weekend trips while living in London and documenting it all on TikTok, of course. I also love to spend time with friends and family (who get a lot of Facetime calls from me these days) and my dog, Ollie, who also made the move to London!
